Welcome to Smallbatch, where I combined design, storytelling, and a passion for pet nutrition into one big creative bowl (pun intended). I led the charge on packaging that not only looks great on shelf but also shares the story of ethically sourced, whole-food goodness.

As contributing copywriter, I helped shape the brand voice and messaging, while collaborating on the creation of unique icons that brought our values and product benefits to life. From new product launches to brand refreshes, it was all about infusing personality and purpose into every bag, box, and label.

Below you’ll find a mix of brand renovation and brand innovation across Smallbatch’s Raw, Lightly Cooked, Freeze-Dried, Frozen Bulk Boxes, and Heart Treats, as well as new packaging designs for Small Bites, Liver Treats, and Fish Treats.

Renovation efforts focused on modernizing the existing packaging with a more monochromatic look, elevated copy, a refined hierarchy of claims and new icons.

Innovation work introduced fresh, new brand colors for Fish Treats, new line drawings, updated icons, and expanded packaging sizes—all designed to strengthen shelf presence and visual cohesion across the portfolio of products.
